The Houston Community College Board of Trustees recently elected officers for the new year.
According to a board press release, "The Houston Community College Board of Trustees elected Bruce A. Austin, trustee for District II, as HCC Board Chairman for 2013. The HCC Board unanimously voted to install Herlinda Garcia, a former HCC trustee (1989-2003) and principal of Houston Independent School District's J.P. Houston Community College awards associate degrees in arts, arts in teaching, science and applied science as well as certificates.
