Martin Luther King Day Peace Rally scheduled for Jan. 21
The Martin Luther King Day Peace Rally, sponsored by Children's Museum of Houston, will be held Monday, Jan. 21.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to a museum release, "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of a world where we would 'not be judged by the color of (our) skin, but by the content of (our) character.' Take a trip to the Children's Museum of Houston to honor his acclaimed 'I Have a Dream Speech' which rocked the nation during the Civil Rights Movement in 1963 and sparked his everlasting legacy. Listen to the uplifting words of this year's Gardere Oratorical winner. Peace Rally Led by Kid's Committee and 'I Have a Dream Speech' rendition: March down Kid's Hall peacefully then hear the speech that changed history."
Tickets are $5.
