Harris County Sheriff's Office hires new deputies
Ryan Hilz, Robert Murrow, Shannon Nichols, Jay Norman, Dennis Palmer, John Siv and Keith Smith were sworn in as new deputies of the Harris County Sheriff's Office on Friday, Nov. 16.
According to a press release, "The new deputies will train at the HCSO Academy before hitting the streets of Harris County as patrol deputies."
This is the first group of deputies the sheriff's office has hired since a 2-and-a-half year freeze was lifted earlier in 2012. All of the new deputies have previous experience in other law enforcement agencies.
