City of Conroe announces Arts Community Enrichment Grant cycle
The city of Conroe has announced the cycle of the Arts Community Enrichment Grant.
The Community Enrichment Grants will disperse $60,000 to groups that are nonprofit organizations, have a 501 C3 status with the state of Texas and reside within the city limits or extraterritorial jurisdiction of Conroe.
On Monday, Oct. 1, new applicants and those who want to review the application will meet with Janna Patrick, communications coordinator. Grant applications will be distributed from Monday, Oct. 8 through Friday, Oct. 12 at the Arts and Communication Department office. The deadline to turn in applications is Friday, Oct. 7.
The review committee will then pick up packets Monday, Dec. 10. and review the grant applications, making recommendations Tuesday. Jan. 15, 2013. Grant recommendations will be presented at a workshop to the finance committee Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 and the City Council will vote on the approval of the recommendations.
