The following arrests were reported by local authorities for the period of Aug. 26 to Aug. 29:

A man was arrested by the Harris County sheriff on charges of violating a promise to appear, expired license plates on display and failure to signal lane change, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 37-year-old male lives on Barnes in Houston.

A Houston woman was arrested and charged with failure to maintain financial responsibility by obtaining insurance, driving without a Texas operator's license and operating of vehicle without license plates or registration Aug. 26, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The woman was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 27 and is facing class C misdemeanor charges. She resides on Kiam.

A Houston man was arrested and charged with prostitution nonpublic offender Aug. 26, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 32, was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 27 and is facing a class B misdemeanor charge.

A man was arrested on charges of speeding, failure to produce a driver's license on demand and violating a promise to appear Aug. 26, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 27-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 26 and is facing class C misdemeanor charges. He resides on Libbey.

A man was arrested by the Harris County sheriff on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault of a family member, the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 27-year-old male lives in Houston.

A Houston man is facing a third-degree felony charge of stalking after being arrested Aug. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 40, resides on Whiteoak. He was booked Aug. 28.

A man was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing Aug. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 25-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 28 and is facing a class A misdemeanor charge. He resides on Tannehill Drive.

A Houston man is facing a class A misdemeanor charge of assault of a family member after being arrested Aug. 27, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 29, resides on Gammon. He was booked Aug. 27.

A Houston man was arrested and charged with theft ($500 to $1,500), violating a promise to appear, violate motor vehicle safety standard and a tire loading restriction violation Aug. 28, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 56, was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 29 and is facing class A and class C misdemeanor charges. He resides on Neyland.

A woman was arrested by the Harris County sheriff on a class B misdemeanor charge of driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility (insurance), the Harris County Sheriff's Department reported. The 23-year-old female lives on West 26th Street, Houston.

A Houston man is facing a class A misdemeanor charge of assault causing bodily injury after being arrested Aug. 28, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The man, 25, resides on North Durham. He was booked Aug. 28.

A man was arrested on a charge of assault causing bodily injury Aug. 28, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. The 29-year-old male was booked at the Harris County Jail on Aug. 28 and is facing a class A misdemeanor charge. He resides on North Durham.
