Houston Sports and Social Club offers sand volleyball
The Houston Sports and Social Club is now offering a Sand Volleyball League for the Fall I Season that starts Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Other sports, including coed flag football, coed softball and coed kickball will be offered as well.
Fall I registration for all sports closes Tuesday, Aug. 28. Space is limited for all leagues, so those interested should sign up as soon as possible. Early bird discounts are available until Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Coed sand volleyball league games will be played on Monday and Tuesday nights during the Fall I season and on Wednesday and Thursday nights during the Fall II season.
Games will be played from 6:30-9:15 p.m. at 954 Wakefield. At least seven games are guaranteed to be played, but playoff formats may differ between leagues.
The fee to sign up for a six versus six league is $55 for an individual looking to be placed on a team, $405 for a team of up to nine players and $45 for each additional player. Early bird discounts will lower the individual price to $48 and the team price to $360.
Six players must be on the court at all time with at least three female players.
For a four versus four league, the fee is $60 for an individual looking to be placed on a team, $350 for a team of up to seven players and $50 for each additional player. Early bird discounts lower the price to $53 for an individual and $315 for a team.
League fees pay for a T-shirt for each team member, equipment, officials and game day happy hour specials.
Individuals who want to be placed on the same team as a friend or a small group of friends should make special team requests during registration to be kept together.
