Local youth foundation, Warehouse Live to host youth forum
The Toxin Youth Foundation announced it will partner with Warehouse Live to host a youth forum from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 at Warehouse Live in Houston. The free event will be moderated by a panel consisting of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, councilmen, educators and health professionals. Topics to be covered include introducing technology into the way young people learn, having a voice in the community, adolescent health and unity in the community, according to a press release. The forum will provide a platform for youth to be heard on contemporary issues. It will also act as a fundraiser to further Toxin Foundation's project of building several community centers in Houston. Warehouse Live is a live entertainment venue in East Downtown Houston. It was converted from a warehouse built in the 1920s, and is located at 813 St. Emanuel St. in Houston. Registration can be completed online at www.toxinyouth.org.
