Houston Parks and Recreation to host adult flag football league
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department is offering an adult flag football league this fall.
Two separate divisions will be offered, a men's and a co-ed, both open to those age 18 and older.
The format will be a five-week DH league that runs from Monday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Nov. 2, including two weeks for rain-outs. Games will be played at Memorial Park, located at 6501 Memorial Drive.
The men's division will play from 7-11 p.m. on Wednesdays on softball fields #4 and #5. The co-ed division will play from 7-11 p.m. on Thursdays, also on softball fields #4 and #5. The co-ed division will have no playoffs following the regular season.
Houston Parks and Recreation will also offer upcoming leagues for spring and winter seasons.
The cost is $340.65 for team registration. The last day for standard and online registration is Friday, Aug. 24.
