Copa Univision Soccer Tournament set for August

The Copa Univision Soccer Tournament will be held from Saturday, Aug. 18 to Sunday, Aug. 19 at Houston Amateur Sports Park.

The tournament has male and female age divisions for U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and Open Adult.

Eight-person teams will play three games in the tournament, with a $1,000 prize for adult division winners, plus eight tickets for all winning teams to the Houston Dynamo versus Columbus Crew game on Sunday, Aug. 19. Winning teams will receive trophies and each winning player will receive a medal.

Winning teams will be honored at half time of the Major League Soccer game at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Registration is $200 for youth teams and $240 for adult teams. Players cannot be aligned with more than one team, and players must have all the required documents completed at least one hour prior to game play.
