Houston Dynamo Youth Program to hold Center of Excellence Training
The Houston Dynamo Youth Program will hold weekly, advanced, Center of Excellence soccer training classes for male and female players ages 8-12 and goalkeepers ages 10-12 from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, through Sunday, Nov. 18.
The sessions, at a location still to be announced, will provide high-level supplementary training as the first step into the Houston Dynamo Academy, according to a press release.
Players will be challenged to increase game intelligence through application of technique in small-sided activities. Experienced and qualified Dynamo coaches will guide players to the level that is required in Academy-level play.
The cost is 250 per person for those born in the years 2000-2004. Participants will receive a training jersey and shorts as well as a free companion ticket to a selected Houston Dynamo home game.
Consistent performers from Center of Excellence training and camps are invited to train at selected Junior Academy sessions throughout the year. Top performers from these sessions may be invited to join the Junior Academy the following calendar year. It is recommended that players attend at least two programs.
For registration information, call 713-276-7589, email Adrian Moses at preacademy@houstondynamo.com or visit houstondynamo.com.
