Smashburger is celebrating its five-year anniversary by opening three new locations in the Houston area, including one in Washington Heights.
According to a recent press release, the burger chain's Washington Heights addition will mark the 12th location in Houston and will represent the company's 160th unit in the United States. Houston was also the first place to begin the national expansion of the restaurant chain in 2008.
"Reaching our five-year anniversary marks a significant milestone and accomplishment for Smashburger, which demonstrates the consumer demand for our brand," said Tom Ryan, founder of Smashburger."When Houston's Reliant Center location opened in December 2008, Bayou City burger lovers quickly welcomed our innovative fast casual concept, and I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our SmashFans here who continue to support us."
Smashburger, which launched in 2007 in Colorado, offers a variety of burger combinations that incorporate a variety of real cheeses, fresh produce, premium condiments and artisan buns, in addition to other selections such as chicken, hot dogs and salads.
