Lawndale Art Center to present collaborative mural

Aug. 24 through Jan. 12, 2013, Lawndale presents the second phase of the Lawndale mural project titled "F" Team, which features the work of seven Houston artists lead by Daniel Anguilu.

Lawndale Art Center will present part two of the Famous Monsters mural on Friday, Aug. 24.

Houston artist Daniel Anguilu reportedly collaborated with other local artists, including James Burns, Tierney L. Malone, Angel Quesada, Michael C. Rodriguez, Roland Saldaña and Dandee Warhol, to complete the mural, titled "F Team."

The artists used elements of street art to convey the mural's meaning, while at the same time paying homage to the history and location of the building, according to a Lawndale Art Center press release.

The mural will be on view from Aug. 24 through Jan. 12, 2013, at 4912 Main St., Houston.
