Houston Park District offering softball leagues

An adult slow-pitch softball league will be offered throughout the city until Friday, Aug. 24.

Such leagues are offered year-round in select park sites throughout the city.

Those 18 and older can register at houstonparks.org during specified registration periods. Players must pay a fee.

The slow-pitch league consists of five weeks of doubleheaders for a total of 10 games.

The Men's C/D and Coed Division play from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The cost is $250 to $300 per team with an ASA fee of $20. For more information, call 832-395-7130 or visit houstonparks.org.

The following are adult softball league locations: Memorial Park (KM 492K) 6501 Memorial Drive, Monday through Friday summer and fall softball leagues; Cullen Park (KM 447S) 19008 Saums Road, Monday through Friday summer and fall softball; Herman Brown Park (KM 496A) 300 Oates Road, Monday through Friday summer and fall leagues; T.C. Jester Park (KM 451M) 4201 W. T.C. Jester, Monday through Friday summer and fall leagues; Cleveland Park-Tim Hearn Field (KM 492M) 200 Jackson Hill, Monday through Friday summer and fall leagues; Memorial Park (KM 492K) 6501 Memorial Drive, Wednesday or Thursday fall flag football league; and T.C. Jester Park (KM 451M) 4201 W. T.C. Jester, Wednesday or Thursday fall flag football league.
