Houston Heights to open registration for bicycle rally, scavenger hunt
Registration for the seventh annual Heights Bicycle Rally and Scavenger Hunt starts Monday, Aug. 6 for the Sunday, Oct. 7 event.
Participants can choose between 20-mile or 5-mile courses, starting and finishing at Marmion Park, located at 18th Street and Heights Boulevard.
The first 300 to register get a commemorative logo water bottle, while all participants receive a rally card, rally map and scavenger clue list. The participant who finds the most clues on the list wins the scavenger hunt.
SAG Service is provided for those unable to complete the ride.
A post-ride party will take place at 3:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m. There will also be entertainment, refreshments, door prizes and picnic fare.
Participants of the 20-mile route can start any time after 8 a.m. If registered by 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, the fee is $20, or $25 registered after that date.
Participants of the 5-mile route can start any time after 2 p.m. If registered by 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, the fee is $15, or $20 registered after that date.
