Houston Parks and Rec offers water playgrounds for summer months
The three water playgrounds of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department offer an interactive activity for children during the summer months.
Water playgrounds are controlled with timers and touch sensors that turn water on for two- or three-minute cycles. Equipment squirts, sprays, mists and shoots water.
The Settegast Park Water Playground at 300 Garrow features a ground geyser, bell-spray column, misty arch and more.
The Jaycee Park Water Playground at 1300 Seamist features timed spouts surrounded by oversized butterflies and leaves.
The Tony Marron Park at 808 N. York features ground sprays and a seat wall that offers views of downtown.
