Houston Police investigating fatal accident off I-10

Houston Police continue to investigate a fatal traffic accident in the 17500 block of I-10 East.

Police say at 11:35 a.m. July 6, Debra Wuneburger died after a Dodge Ram 1500, driven by John Cumbie, struck her brown Isuzu Rodeo in the 17500 block of I-10.

Wuneburger was traveling west when she drove the Isuzu into concrete barriers, which caused it to cross over the lanes of the highway, according to a Houston Police Department news release.

When she crossed the outside lane, the truck collided with her vehicle, and it rolled over into the grass median, investigators reported.

Emergency workers arrived and pronounced Wuneburger dead at the scene, according to the release.
