Houston Parks and Recreation opens disc golf courses
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department has five disc-golf courses located throughout the city, including at Agnes Moffitt Park and Tinsley Park.
Disc golf combines the rules and traditions of golf with flying discs. Players throw discs into disc-catcher baskets instead of hitting a ball into a hole. Disc golf courses include nine or 18 holes.
Each of the five Houston courses is free and open to the public. The Agnes Moffitt Park and Tinsley Park courses are both 18 holes and include warm-up baskets, grass and dirt tees and disc catchers.
Agnes Moffitt Park is located at 10845 Hammerly Blvd., Houston. Tinsley Park is located at 103 Sabine St., Houston.
