Small Steps Nurturing Center celebrates 'Splash Day'
: The Small Steps students topped off the summer program with their favorite Small Steps summer activity: Splash Day!
Participants in Small Steps Nurturing Center's half-day summer program capped off their season with Splash Day on June 21.
The summer program finale was hosted by volunteers from the Bering Drive Church of Christ, Ashford Community Church and St. John’s Presbyterian Church youth programs.
The theme for the monthlong program was "sports." Throughout June, students learned to play various sports and about the different uniforms players wear. Activities included a field day hosted by volunteers from the Houston AIDS Foundation, in which the children got a chance to play their favorite sports.
