McDonald's Smooth Fusion makes stop at NAACP conference
McDonald's McCafe Smooth Fusion Tour stopped in Houston on Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8 to allow the community to taste its new summer blended ice beverage flavor, Cherry Berry Chiller.
Free samples of the beverage were provided from the Smooth Fusion Tour motor coach, which is described in the press release as an upscale beverage lounge on wheels.
The vehicle was parked outside the George R. Brown Convention Center, located at 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the 103rd Annual NAACP Convention.
"Houston's Black McDonald's Operators Association, part of the McDonald's Operators Association of Greater Houston, recognizes the significance that the NAACP organization has made in history," said Stephanie Oliver, president of the BMOA and second-generation McDonald's owner-operator. "We are pleased to welcome convention attendees to Houston and share our hospitality by offering our refreshing Cherry Berry Chiller."
This stop is one of 48 in the Smooth Fushion Tour, which will include cities all across the country.
Along with free samples of Cherry Berry Chiller, convention attendees were also given "Be Our Guests" cards to get free Cherry Berry Chillers, the new Spicy McBites and other menu items from local McDonald's restaurants.
The Cherry Berry Chiller will be available at participating restaurants until Sept. 3.
