Nicole Shanahan has been elected vice president of the Texas Association of Supervisors of Mathematics for the 2012-13 school year. In her leadership role at TASM, Shanahan will assist with the organization's initiatives to promote effectiveness in supervision, coordination and teaching of mathematics.
"I look forward to collaborating with my mathematics colleagues as an officer within TASM and providing the best professional development to educators to prepare students for the new state math standards," Shanahan said in a press release.
