Bridgette Collins to speak at the NAACP conference July 7-8
Bridgette Collins, motivational speaker, author and fitness guru, will be speaking at the NAACP Author Pavilion at the Commerce and Industry Show to be held July 7-10 at George R. Brown Convention Center, located at 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, in Houston.
Collins will be bringing her Game Up For Wellness program to the conference and signing her new book, "Broken In Plain Sight." She will be available to meet attendees and provide autographs from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, July 7 and from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8.
"Broken In Plain Sight" is a book about an African-American family's journey to find love, truth and healing.
Collins grew up in Houston's Kashmere Gardens, attended the High School for Performing and Visual Arts and received a bachelor’s degree from Lamar University. "I am so honored and humbled to be selected to participate in such a prestigious event," said Collins in the press release.
Other authors featured at the Author Pavilion will include Hill Harper, Antonia Wright and Etan Thomas.
