Police investigate fatal shooting at 3033 Elgin St.
A store clerk allegedly shot and killed a suspected shoplifter outside a convenience store at 3033 Elgin St., Heights.
The victim, a 52-year-old male, allegedly left the store without paying for beer, according to a Houston Police Department press release.
Police said the alleged shooter, a 19-year-old male, suffered no injuries during the confrontation, which occurred at 12:05 a.m. June 29.
More details regarding the incident will be released after an investigation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
