Houston man charged after Picasso piece defaced at Menil

Police continue the search for a Houston man accused of defacing Picasso's "Woman in a Red Armchair."

Police charged Uriel Landeros, 22, with felonious criminal mischief and felony graffiti June 22 after a concerned citizen called in a tip to the Crime Stopper line, according to a press release.

The painting was housed at the Menil Collection, located at 1533 Sul Ross, in Houston.

Landeros is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds.
