Urban Leagues Young Professionals host networking brunch
The Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals group hosted a networking brunch on June 16 for young professionals, business owners and networking specialists from the Houston area.
A highlight of the event was "Pancakes & Professionals," a dialogue between attendees and a group of panelists representing the recruiting, consulting and real estate industries. During the discussion, professionals shared strategies to efficiently network with a purpose.
“Networking has become a way of life for many young professionals; however, many YPs very seldom get out of their own peer groups,” said Stephen Compton and Marchelle Cain, HAULYP Professional Development Committee co-chairs, in a press release.
HAULYP is an auxiliary of the Houston Area Urban League with the goal of building positive synergy to advance activism in the community among young professionals under the age of 40.
