Burglary suspects arrested

Three people were arrested recently after allegedly breaking into several vehicles in the Humble area, according to a press release from the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The release stated that Deputy R. VanDine was responding to a vehicle burglary on June 12 in the 12000 block of Hawthorne Hill when he saw someone who matched one of the suspect descriptions. After questioning the young man, VanDine allegedly found several stolen items on his person, according to the release.

VanDine then alerted another deputy that other suspects might be nearby. In a few moments, two other arrests were made, and the suspects, one of which was a juvenile, allegedly had on them several stolen items including cellphones, prescription drugs, electronics and jewelry. The suspects are also reported to have admitted to a number of vehicle burglaries in the area, and they allegedly showed the deputies where these occurred and allowed the stolen goods to be returned.

Loys Turner, 17, was charged with three counts of vehicle burglary, and Dustin Honc, 22, was charged with two counts of vehicle burglary and one count of burglary of a building. The specific charges against the unnamed 16-year-old juvenile have not been released.
