Houston Habitat for Humanity celebrates 25 years
Houston Habitat for Humanity celebrated its 25th anniversary with a reception and program on June 14.
During the reception, five families learned they have been accepted as Houston Habitat Partner Families.
Houston Habitat has built 900 affordable homes for purchase by low-income city residents.
In lieu of a down payment, all homebuyers agree to a no-interest mortgage and contribute 300 hours of "sweat equity".
The celebration was held at the Chevron Building, 1400 Smith St.
