Houston ISD to offer summer meals program
Houston Independent School District is offering free breakfast and lunch to all Houston children from ages 1-18 at more than 200 schools through July 12.
According to a press release, breakfast is available from 8-9 a.m., and lunch is available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday through July 12 at participating schools.
No paperwork is involved, and no registration is needed to participate, according to the release. Children do not have to be enrolled in summer school to participate. Adults can purchase meals. Breakfast costs $2, and lunch costs $3.25.
