Houston Parks and Recreation to offer wheelchair basketball
Ongoing weekly practice and play for wheelchair basketball is open for individuals age 16 and older.
The Houston Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the 5-on-5 recreational wheelchair basketball league for adults with independent functioning skills. No motorized chairs are allowed, but sports chairs are available to check out.
The league meets from 6-9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center, 1475 West Gray St., Houston. There is no cost to join, but registration is required.
