Sheriff's Office releases more details about fatal accident on Stuebner Airline

One person is dead and another injured after a three-vehicle accident in the 19400 block of Stuebner Airline Road.

Officers say Autumn Waters was wearing a helmet when the red-colored Suzuki motorcycle she was riding north on Stuebner Airline crashed into the back of a white Chevrolet truck just after 8:30 p.m. June 5.

The impact threw Waters over the trailer, knocked off her helmet and tossed her to the ground, according to a Harris County Sheriff's Office news release. An ambulance transported her to a local hospital, where she died the next day from her injuries.

The driver of the Suzuki reportedly collided with the back of the truck, which was towing a landscaping trailer. He was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred when the Suzuki and two other motorcycles approached the truck as it was turning left into the 19400 block of Stuebner. The first motorcycle swerved and missed the trailer, and the second motorcycle, a white Honda, was able to stop behind the trailer, according to the release.

Harris County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement officers continue to investigate the crash.
