Designer to hold fashion show
Young fashion designer Jonathan Blake will have his first fashion show on Oct. 3.
The show for the Johnathan Blake Collections will take place from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Junior League of Houston, on Post Oak, located at 1811 Briar Oaks Lane in Houston.
This will be the first show for the 21-year-old Blake, whose line of women's clothing draws inspiration from nature, jewelry and the women in his life. According to a press release, Blake's designs are available in size two through size eight, with larger sizes available at a later date.
"What is most interesting about this young man is that he is only 21 years old. Yet, his work shows the style, grace, and creativity of someone twice his age," said Carolyn Farb, Houston Philanthropist and author, in a press release. "His designs are breathtaking and classic."
Custom designs are also available from Blake, with prices ranging from $800 to $12,000.
"It is important for my line to be high quality, and beautiful, not just on the outside but the inside as well," said Blake in a press release. "The gowns that are jeweled or beaded are done by hand, and not by a machine. Those with a good eye for details will be able to tell the difference."
