Central Market Cooking School hosts grilling, mint demos
Only in Texas could a cooking school and a parks and wildlife department see eye to eye over the backyard grill.
From 6:30-9 p.m. June 15, Central Market Cooking School, in association with Texas Parks and Wildlife, will talk about wild game and fish and how you can best cook them on the grill.
Dishes that will be made (and tasted) include snapper with peppers and onions and oysters with barbecue sauce.
If mint is more your speed, a class on the myriad mint menus will be held 6:30-9 p.m. June 28. Featured dishes include grilled tuna over lemon-mint barley salad and chicken salad with mint and feta.
Both classes will be held at the Central Market at 3815 Westheimer Road in Houston.
