United Way announces Future of Texas' Children Conference
The Future of Texas' Children Conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at United Way of Greater Houston, 50 Waugh Drive.
This event will feature leaders in the fields of technology, education, social media, architecture, health and the environment sharing ideas about how to shape the lives of children.
The experts will provide information, insight and perspective on what our children can expect and how to positively impact their future.
Speakers will include Mike Feinberg, co-founder of KIPP; Jim Herrington, founding director of Mission Houston; Robin Holzer, chair emeritus of the Citizens' Transportation Coalition; Frank Kelly of FAIA and SHWGROUP; Bob Sanborn, president and CEO of Children at Risk; Ross Shott, CEO of the Conrad Foundation; and Ross Shegog, associate director of communication at the Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research at the University of Texas School of Public Health.
Registration for this event costs $35 and includes a light breakfast and boxed lunch.
