HISD students help launch college planning website
Houston Independent School District students helped launch the BigFuture college planning website April 20 at Sam Houston Math, Science and Technology Center, 9400 Irvington Blvd., Houston.
Superintendent Terry Grier was on hand to celebrate the website's launch. BigFuture is a free comprehensive website offered by the College Board. Students nationwide will be able to use it as a resource, as will counselors, teachers and parents who need information about preparing for, applying to and paying for college.
Also in attendance were trustee Anna Eastman, College Board Regional Vice President Richard Middleton, Sam Houston Principal Jane Crump and HISD students.
