Crockett Elementary wins outstanding design award
Crockett Elementary has been named among the nation’s best education design and construction projects by the Learning by Design Spring 2012 edition.
The award was given to the school for most outstanding reconstruction, addition and restoration project for the Early Childhood and Elementary School category.
Judges looked at many factors when determining winners, including innovative design approach and creating connectivity in the school between students, teachers and the community.
NATEX Architects was able to develop a creative design for the school using materials and structural elements showcasing the distinguished fine arts program and also making the addition LEED-certified.
In addition to the budget given, NATEX Architects raised more than $25,000 in private funds to enhance the project.
