Tickets on sale for home and garden tour events

Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 Houston Heights Association Home and Garden Tour and the candlelight dinner and auction with an after party.
This year's theme is: "Opening Doors-The Key to Our Future is Hinged on Our Past."
The home tour will take place at 6 p.m. April 14 and 15. It includes six houses: the Purday/Coon home at 1109 Oxford, the Mueller home at 941 Cortlandt, the Tegtmeier home at 706 Cortlandt, the Womble home at 515 Harvard, the Fritsch home at 243 Tulane and the Smith/Yeatts home at 531 W. 16th. The tour includes luxury transportation. Those who wish to bike can save $5 on individual tickets.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the tour or $5 for each individual home on the door.
A candlelight dinner and auction will take place from 5-7 p.m. at The Lodge, 1435 Beall St., Houston. Tickets areĀ $125 (open seating) and $1,250 for a reserved table for 10. Seating is limited to 500.
There will also be an after-hours party at 10 p.m. at The Lodge following the dinner and auction. Buzz & the Blue Cats will provide the entertainment. There will be dancing and an open bar.
