Students achievements allow him to stand tall

Nearing the end of his high school career, Aaron Lavergne, a senior at Booker T. Washington High School, is gratified by his accomplishments. “I am most proud of the man I am becoming,” he said. “I have received very honorable accolades that have made me, my parents and my supporters extremely happy. My morals, education and the way I carry myself allow me to be seen as a very respectable young man, which internally is most satisfying to me.”

Favorite class: “Math is my favorite class because of the everyday application of the subject. Math is essential to becoming successful."

Favorite TV show: “‘Burn Notice’ because I like the secret spy plot, and it is actually realistic.”
Favorite movie: “‘Coach Carter’ because the movie sends a message of what a true student-athlete should be.”
Ambition: “I have high expectations set upon me, so I strive to overexceed those expectations to positively represent me, my school and my family. I want to attend the University of Louisiana-Lafayette to major in mechanical engineering, where I will represent well.”
