Heights lube shop sued over oil change
A Harris County resident is suing an oil change shop, located in the Heights, over claims its employees failed to properly install the oil filter on her Toyota.
Marie Flores filed a lawsuit on Oct. 3 in the Harris County District Court against Fast Sticker and Lube, Inc., citing breach of warranty, violations of the Texas Deceptive Practices Act, negligence and negligent misrepresentation.
Flores says that on Aug. 3, she paid $41 to pay Fast Sticker and Lube, with a location in the Heights, to do a routine oil change on her 2006 Toyota Rav 4. According to the brief, shortly after the oil change, the engine on her Rav locked because Fast Sticker failed to properly replace the oil filter.
Flores is seeking actual and exemplary damages, as well as attorney’s fees and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Larry Trimble.
