Winning lottery ticket purchased at Heights-area store
A Spring resident has claimed a $1 million prize after purchasing a Mega Millions ticket at Corner Food Mart, 4632 Irvington Blvd., in Houston.
John H. Smith III claimed the prize yesterday, according to the Texas Lottery Commission. Smith's winning numbers were drawn on Sept. 30.
Smith won the extra money by "Megaplying" his ticket, which was initially work just $250,000.
