Heights store to host talk on water conservation
The Wabash Water Conservation demonstration and lecture will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8.
The lecture will discuss ways for people to conserve water and still keep their yards alive. They will learn tips like using water from their air conditioner or reclimating the water from their washing machine to maintain lawns and flower beds.
Philip Jennings, horticulturalist and supervisor for Houston’s Parks and Recreation Department, will lead attendees through how to construct water catch barrels to collect household water in an economical way.
The lecture will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Wabash Antiques and Feed, located at 5701 Washington Ave.
