HS boys baseball preview: Waltrip vs. Yates

Waltrip will battle Yates in boys baseball action on Friday.

The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Yates.

Waltrip is 1-1-0 on the year and 5-0-0 in district. On Tuesday, the Rams beat Galveston Ball, 2-1.

Yates has 0-9-0 record on the season and is 0-9-0 in district play. On Tuesday, the Mighty Lions lost to Reagan, 19-0.

After Friday’s game, Waltrip is against Wharton on Saturday.

Yates next plays Sterling on April 29.
