HS girls softball: Waltrip clobbers Yates
Waltrip slugged its way to a 16-1 win over Yates in District 21-4A high school girls softball action on Tuesday.
Pitcher Kennedy Rodriguez struck out six and picked up the win.
The win ups Waltrip to 12-4 overall and 8-0 in district play.
Waltrip will next host Sterling on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The loss drops Yates to 0-11 overall and 0-11 in district play.
Aaron Smith took the loss for the Mighty Lions.
Yates will next host Sterling on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
