HS girls basketball: Waltrip defeats Kashmere
Waltrip toppled Kashmere 63-41 in high school girls basketball 4A Bidistrict playoff action on Tuesday.
Although they trailed by six at the half, Waltrip dominated the third quarter 26-8 and coasted to the win.
Waltrip ups its record to 17-5 on the season and 10-2 in district play.
Minesha Mattews led her team to the victory with 18 points.
Kashmere drops to 9-14 on the season and 7-5 in district play.
Nicole Davis and Deronique Nash each contributed 11 points in the loss.
