Tuesday Christmas lights tours in Heights benefit downtown alliance, theaters
The Christmas Lights Tour on the Wave will run for the remaining Tuesdays in December.
The tour takes riders to Houston’s most noted Christmas lights displays. Guests can view lights with a group of friends or relatives. The tour begins and ends at Washington Grill on 2811 Washington Ave. It will go through neighborhoods including Woodlands Heights, Prestonwood Forest and River Oaks Boulevard.
A ticket includes complimentary cookies on the Wave as well as a 10 percent discount to Washington Grill before and after the ride. Tickets are $20 per rider and $5 of every ticket is donated to the Houston Downtown Alliance and Houston Theater District.
The tour will run on Dec. 14, Dec. 21 and Dec. 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Wave is Houston's officially permitted “jitney” shuttle company created to enhance the economic urban development of Houston’s entertainment districts. The buses operate on a fixed route with fixed rates, helping to connect people and places while helping to alleviate the area’s mobility needs.
