Quarterback Elias Naworcki and the Panthers are still without a victory this year.

The Austin Mustangs (5-1) defeated the Davis Panthers (0-7) 22-6 at Delmar Stadium Friday.

Austin's Casey Davis had a combined 161 yards offense and three touchdowns while Julio Guity caught two Davis passes for 41 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown to put the Mustangs on the board.

Kicker Rigo Juarez booted the extra point giving Austin all it needed for the victory less than one minute into the second quarter.

Davis trailed 14-0 at the half and got on the board early in the third quarter on an Elias Naworcki 37-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Alexander. Running back Matthew Matlock had a solid game rushing for 106 yards and averaged 7.6 yards per carry but failed to score.

Austin travels to Sharpstown next saturday while Davis has a bye week and hosts Sharpstown October 22.
