White Horse party to benefit Relay for Life
White Horse Academy of Martial Arts, 215 E. 11th, will host a Halloween Haunted Maze and Party, benefiting the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Greater Heights, 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday.
There will be a $10 entry fee for the party, which will include live music, prizes for best costumes, etc.
The third annual American Cancer Society's Relay For Life will be held at Delmar-Dyer Sports Complex May 14 -15, 2010. Last year the Greater Heights Relay For Life raised over $30,000 for cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services, while involving more than 400 participants.
White Horse owner Barbara Dickens, a two-time cancer survivor, will chair the event.
"I feel honored to be a part of this uplifting event," Dickens was quoted in a release. "I have made a personal commitment both to create awareness about the progress against cancer and help raise the funds necessary to continue the fight against the disease."
