Comcast awards $1,000 scholarships to Houston students

Several Houston-area students recently received a $1,000 scholarship from Comcast’s Leaders and Achievers program.
The scholarships are given to students who are involved with the schools and communities and are good role models for others. A total of 50 students were awarded the scholarships in the Houston area.
Several of the students, their high schools and future colleges include:
Alexandria Hummel, W.T. Hall Center for Education, Texas Woman’s University Ashley Bonilla, Victory Early College High School, University of Houston Haley Joswiak, St. Pius X High School, Sam Houston State University Kaylin McNary, Kashmere High School, Texas A&M University Nelson Romero, Eisenhower Senior High School, University of Texas at Austin Christopher Wong, Yates High School, Prairie View A&M University Daniel Anderson, University of Notre Dame (high school not provided) Frankie Chuma-Kofi Mojekwu, Washington High School, Cornell University Candace Macia, Scarborough Senior High School, University of Houston
