Redbud Gallery in The Heights to display 'Constructed Chaos' exhibit

published Nov. 23, 2011

The "James Ciosek Constructed Chaos" exhibit will open at Redbud Projects on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The pieces consist of sheets of corrugated tin and fiberglass left over from Hurricane Ike debris that Ciosek shot with a gun, which he turned into 12-foot tall cylinders. He then lights them from inside with fluorescent bulbs covered by lenses.

The end results are nine large-scale shadow boxes, with colored light beaming out of randomly created patterns of holes.

The exhibit will be on display until Sunday, April 1.

For more information, contact gakopriva@aol.com or visit www.redbudgallery.com.

The Redbud Gallery is located at 303 E. 11th St. in Houston.
